Price printables by starting from what similar listings in your niche charge, subtracting Etsy's fees to see what you keep, and then adjusting for what your listing includes, such as multiple ratios or a matching set. There is no single right price; the best price is the one that works for your shop, and you find it by testing.
Know Etsy's fees
At the time of writing (October 2026), the main Etsy fees for a digital sale are:
| Fee | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Listing fee | $0.20 | Per listing; charged again when an item sells and the listing renews |
| Transaction fee | 6.5% | Of the sale price |
| Payment processing | Varies by country | A percentage plus a fixed amount, set by your shop's country |
Etsy may also charge an advertising fee on orders that come through its Offsite Ads, and you may pay for Etsy Ads if you use them. Fees and currencies change, so check Etsy's current fee page for your country before you finalise prices.
For a low-priced printable, the fixed parts of the fees take a bigger share. That is one reason many sellers avoid pricing single prints at the very bottom of the market.
Look at your niche, not the whole site
Prices for printables range widely. Compare listings that are genuinely similar to yours: the same style, similar quality of mockups, a similar number of files. A detailed illustrated piece and a simple typography quote are not the same product, even if both are printables.
What adds value
- Multiple ratios: a listing with five ratios at 300 PPI saves the buyer from cropping and fits almost any frame, which is worth saying clearly.
- Large sizes: files that print well at 24×36 in are more useful than small files.
- Sets: a set of two, three or six matching prints is easier to hang as a gallery wall and can be priced higher than a single print.
- Clear presentation: good mockups and a size guide make a higher price feel justified.
Bundles and sets
Bundles let you raise the order value while giving the buyer a better price per print. A common approach is to price a set of three below the cost of three single prints, so the bundle feels like a good deal. Keep each print in the set available on its own too, so buyers can choose.
Make sure the set listing clearly says how many designs and files are included. Etsy's per-listing file limit (at the time of writing, 5 files of up to 20 MB each) means sets often use ZIP files or links in a PDF; explain what the buyer will receive.
Sales and discounts
Etsy lets you run sales and send coupon codes. Sales can help during busy seasons, but constant discounts can train buyers to wait. If you plan to run sales, set your regular price with that in mind, and keep discounts honest: do not raise a price just to show a bigger percentage off.
Test and review
Change prices on a few listings at a time and give each change a few weeks before judging it. Compare visits, conversion and revenue, not just the number of orders. A slightly higher price with fewer orders can still earn more.
Doing it faster
ArtworkPilot creates print files in every common ratio at 300 PPI, plus mockups and a size guide image, so each listing clearly shows what the buyer gets. It also includes keyword and competitor research.
